Adam was born in Chatham and attended high school at Ursuline College Chatham (UCC). He was very athletic and standing 6’ 10” with a vertical jump of 35”, he excelled at basketball and Volleyball.
Career Highlights
1999 to 2003
1999 to 2003 at Ursuline College, was a four-time volleyball MVP and two-time basketball MVP
in grades 12 and 13, was chosen UCC Athlete of the Year
in final year, received the Bill Davis Award, the highest UCC athletic award, which goes to the student-athlete who best represents what Lancer athletics stand for
also in final year, received the Dr. Jack Parry Award which is given to the top male and female student-athletes in Chatham-Kent
2002 and 2003 played club volleyball in London and Waterloo winning silver and bronze medals at Provincials
2003 to 2008
2003 to 2008 – played volleyball for the University of Alberta Golden Bears and was a starter and top player all 5 years
in his first year, was chosen Rookie of the Year as best freshman volleyball player in all of Canada
his teams excelled at Canadian Championships winning 3 silver and 2 gold medals in 5 years
2005 to 2008 – was a member of Canada’s National “B” team
played in World University Games in Turkey in 2005 and in Thailand in 2007
2008 to 2014
2008 to 2014 – played professionally in Europe in Slovenia, Poland, and Czech Republic
2009 to 2014 – played on Canada’s National “A” team
In 2010, competed in Italy at Men’s World Volleyball Championship which is held every four years
In 2010, 2012 and 2013, represented Canada in the (FIVB) Federation International Volleball World League which is an annual event for the top 16 countries
2020
Adam received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta and hopes to finish his Masters of Business Administration Degree in 2020. He is presently an engineer in Winnipeg.
