Harold, was involved in hockey at the local and provincial level for over 45 consecutive years. Starting as a coach in the minor system, then president of the Chatham Minor Hockey Association, and, up until 2004, when he was still involved with the Chatham Junior Maroons.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
1967 - 1992
1957-58 – President of Chatham Minor Hockey Association
1958-59 – coach of Chatham Rotary Juvenile Hockey Team which lost only 1 game all season, including 3 against Junior “B” teams, and ultimately became first CMHA team to win an Ontario Hockey Association Championship
1959-60 organized and coached first Jr. Maroon Hockey Club – since this time, for over 40 years, was continuously involved with the Jr. Maroons in various positions
1989 – purchased Jr. Maroons and became Owner-President of club
1992 – sold team to new owners but stayed on as director of the club and worked for the Jr. Maroons until 2004

1984 – joined WCBA as CMBA representative
Beginning in 1984 to present – has been Secretary, Treasurer, and Registrar for over 30 years
