During the season they entered 4 tournaments and won 3 of them losing to St. Catharines by 5 points in the finals at the University of Western Ontario tournament. At the St. Clair College Tournament they beat their opponents by an average of 22.5 points. At Seneca College they were victorious over 3 "AAA" schools. At the Pink and White in Chatham, no team reached 30 points against the Panthers defense. In the Kent league they went undefeated outscoring their opponents 792 to 300 in 12 games. The closest game was a 20-point win against CCI. They beat Kingsville 64-43 for the SWOSSA Championship and then at OFSAA, they won all 4 games, outscoring their opponents 190 to 129, to earn the Gold Medal. This team was the first Kent County girls' team to win an OFSAA medal in any team sport. Two members of the team went on to earn basketball scholarships at an American university, two played at the University of Windsor and one pursued track and field at university. In addition, Karrie Williams and Carrie (Dillon) Carleton have been inducted as individuals in the Athlete - Modern category of the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame.
